I bought the MXL-990 microphone 5 years ago on Amazon. It was my first microphone, which started my career in my first audio recording production. It was an incredible microphone for me. The quality was not bad but much better. I haven’t found any problems yet. I would recommend this microphone to newcomers. It’s a low-cost, far-fetched mic. It’s great for new songs, poems, and performances. The MXL-990 microphone produces sweet tunes that are ideal for acoustic guitar and vocal recording. It has a balanced output, a low-sounding FET primp, quality material inside a vintage-style body — a 6-micron, gold-perforated diaphragm. High-end XLR cables isolate any humming or hissing sound, creating a neutral and beautifully balanced sound.
The MXL 990 is made of a cardiovoid polar pattern, rejects off-axis sound, and picks up audio in front of mic capsules. It requires a 48v Phantom Power to be used. This microphone has frequencies up to 30Hz-20kHz, maximum SPL 0.5% THD: 130dB and equivalent noise level: 20dB-A. I compared it with a lot of high-quality mics, but I didn’t find much difference. This is for recording a mic guitar remotely. I’ve got my hands on EQs. There’s nothing to change or improve.
It’s a fine acoustic guitar mic. I bought it because of its good price and frequency. At this price, the microphone has a good frequency and nice sound. I’ve used it on vocals, pianos, and other vocal instruments. The words were awesome. I got a good sound when I used 4 different large condensers and 3 different small condensers. I was inspired for making videos on YouTube with the MXL 990 microphone, and I couldn’t understand how good it would be if I didn’t have my other microphone. If you are looking for a low-priced and high-priced microphone, then you can pick it up.
You’ll also find two cable organizers. It’s a 3/8″ to 5/8 “threading adapter. The stand can handle loads up to 11 pounds when the boom arm gives a maximum of 4.41 pounds. The MXL 990 produces full-bandwidth tones and a healthy output layer, and a simple dynamic microphone for simple dynamic microphones. Profit is required. I am very happy to get this microphone. The quality of the product is good enough. I will suggest this microphone for those new to me and who want to record.
Not necessarily, you will need some equipment, at least a Phantom power source, but these types of microphones are usually used for studio applications.
Yes, as long as you have 3/8 to 5/8 adapters, you will be able to attach any one of the mounts included to hold the mic.
There is no on / off switch. Phantom power is required to work.
Mount any mic stand wiz as long as you have a shock.
Of course, a separate pop filter is required. There is no foam inside the grill.
No, it is not
Yes, this mic needs phantom power, so it will work very well with your mixer.

Allows giving mid, giving XML 990 a tight low feeling with sweet height. The mic’s directional feedback can help reduce background noise, plaguing many home recordings. You can.
